Desk Copies
Desk copies (or complimentary copies) are copies of textbooks sent to faculty by publishers for use in the classroom. These include items such as textbooks, instructors’ manuals, test banks and other supplemental materials.
If you need a desk copy:
1.
Request it directly from the publisher or publisher’s rep
This is the fastest and most efficient way to obtain desk copies and support
materials for your classes. We maintain a list of the phone numbers, email
addresses and websites of our primary publishers and their local reps (when
available) on our website here.
We also have Publishers’ Representative Lists available at
our Textbook Information Counter. Since it can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks for
your request to be fulfilled, please allow adequate time to receive your
materials.
Please note: Since each publisher sets the terms for their own desk copy
program, there will be some who do not honor requests for desk copies or will
charge you for the text.
2.
Purchase a copy yourself
If time is an issue, you can purchase a copy of a textbook directly from us
(with your 10% staff discount) and then request a desk copy from the publisher.
If you return the book to us (in the original condition AND with the cash
register receipt) within 90 days of purchase, we will be happy to give you a
full refund.
In very rare occasions or emergency situations, your
School may be willing to obtain a desk copy on your behalf. Please speak
directly to your school dean for more information.
Please note: The Campus Store is unable to loan copies of textbooks to
instructors or to forward requests to publishers. We are sorry for any
inconvenience this may cause.
